Homemade Hummus Variation: Tomato Hummus

I always miss fresh tomatoes in winter, but this tomato hummus brightens up my mood right away – and makes a great gift for others who feel the same! And the recipe is as simple as it is good, so let’s go!

Ingredients (6-8 jars of hummus):
3 cans of chickpeas
1 jar of sun-dried tomatoes in oil
2 teaspoons of paprika (spicy)
4-5 garlic cloves
8-10 tablespoons of olive oil
Salt

Note: I usually also add 3-4 tablespoons of tahini, but I didn’t have any left – the hummus turned out a bit lighter in taste and texture and with a more intense tomato flavor!

Preparation:
Drain the chickpeas and tomatoes and put them in a food processor with the olive oil. Peel the garlic cloves and press them into the mixture. Puree everything. Season with paprika and salt – and done! Now you only have to fill the hummus into clean glasses and you’re ready to brighten up someone’s life a little!
