Those are ridiculously easy to make – and yet, they will lighten up your guests when served with a good sparkling wine. In any case, this first appetizer “course” – some type of nice beverage and a savory snack – is what we in Switzerland call “apéro” and it is (at least to us) without doubt the most important part of any gathering. So you will find a variety of “appetizers” in this blog, I hope you’ll enjoy.
For these stars you’ll only need three
ingredients:
1 Sheet of Puff Pastry
1 egg yolk
pumpkin seeds or mixed seeds
Preparation:
Cut out stars (or any other form you’d like) with a cookie cutter. Coat the stars with eggyolk and sprinkle with pumpkin/mixed seeds. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes (200 degrees). Plate them up and enjoy.
One tip: Make sure you’re puff pastry sheet is cold – I even put them into the freezer for 5 minutes before cutting, otherwise the pastry might stick to your cutter.
