Hmmm…it’s the beginning of strawberry season, and I could eat them by the bucket. Though what I really always crave for, is chocolate covered strawberries! I usually get them at food festivals or carnevals, but that isn’t an option at the time of Covid-19, so I did a trial run to come up with this – crazy easy – recipe! All you need is a Microwave and you are ready for my easy way to temper chocolate: it takes no time at all and still gives you the crack you’d expect from tempered chocolate.
Ingredients:
200g of strawberries
100g dark chocolate
a handful of pistacchios, roughly chopped (optional)
Microwave & Baking paper
Preparation:
Wash the strawberries and pat them dry. Chop the pistacchios and set aside.
Chop the chocolate into small pieces. Prepare a tray with a baking paper.
Put 2/3 of the chocolate in a microwave-resistant bowl. Set the microwave on high and turn it on for 20 seconds. Take the bowl out and mix the chocolate. Repeat for 4-5 20 second intervalls untill all the chocolate is completely melted.
Add the rest (1/3) of the chocolate pieces to the bowl and mix until everything is completely melted.
Quickly take your strawberries and dip them into the chocolate one by one. Shake off excess chocolate and place the strawberries on the baking paper.
Sprinkle with your pistacchios. Let the strawberries cool in the fridge for 20-30 minutes – and enjoy!
